OPENING FRI.OCT.17 19:00

This exhibition brings together six artists from the Non-Étoile collective around the theme of childhood approached as a poetic, political, and interactive space. Conceived specifically for The Balcony as part of the extra_muros exchange program, the exhibition amplifies contrasts—between the miniature and the monumental—creating a space for viewers to shift perspectives and question their own sense of scale and experience. Among the featured pieces are micro-editions, embroidered textiles, participatory games, and sculptural objects rooted in childhood memory.

In addition to the exhibition, a public program offers French-language workshops and an artist talk aimed at connecting with the local French-speaking community in The Hague.

The exhibition is part of The Balcony’s extramuros program, in which collaborations take place across Europe’s vast network of artist-run & presentation spaces. Occurring each year in September to inaugurate the new cultural season under the sign of collaboration and exchange, The Balcony has this year teamed up with a group of artists and curators originally from Paris.

The project is co-financed by the Dutch Embassy in France and Institut Français NL.
